We are almost there, one week from now families and friends will gather around the dinner table or main room to Love, Pray, Give Thanks then Eat and recall old times. Yes, its one of the joyous time of the year that most of us look forward to.. Some gathering may be large and some may be small like mine, but we are still thankful and grateful for whatever we may have. What helped us last week with being thankful was remembering past experiences that will help with future circumstances. This week is remembering God's Promises He has told you in a particular season, this will help you to be thankful. God is always making promises that are general like salvation ("Not His will for anyone to perish but all to come to repentance"-2 Peter 3:9) and promises He gave you for a particular area of your life such as("You will make known to me the path of life"-Psalm 16:11), this particular promise comes with directions from the Holy Spirit. So despite the 3T's (Trials, Tribulations & Troubles) you are going through, remember what He has told you. His Word says "His Promises are Yes and we say Amen", 2 Corinthians 1:20(NIV) meaning we coming in agreement with Him completes it, (that's why I love the NIV version). What has He told you before that disappointment came, that situation happened, that circumstances that changed the whole trajectory ....meditate on what He told you. "God is not a man that He should lie" Numbers 23:19, "He doesn't change" Malachi 3:6, and He is a Promise Keeper meaning He is faithful to His Word, Psalm 145:13. So Chill, God's Got This, He has everything under control just keep thanking Him until the Testimony comes.
