Happy Friday beautiful people, we have started another month, second month of the year, WOW...time really flies but we thank God that He gave us time now and not stuck in eternity in the human flesh. God is so wise, he knows that we could not handle eternity just yet. So since we are in the month of February, lets see what is celebrated in this month....yep you got it right 'LOVE' aka Valentines Day. Many people live for love and we should. Love is a powerful word....and not just a word but an action word (A.K.A verb), my teachers know what I'm talking about. What is love though? ......You know I'm going to bring the Word in for the real definition cause y'all thought you know what love is... we ain't going to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion or even cupid, let's see God's definition of love is, He is the Creator of everything including LOVE. So turn with me to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (felt like church), He says "Love is PATIENT and KIND, love does NOT envy or boast, it is NOT arrogant or rude. It does NOT insist on its own way. It is NOT irritable or resentful, it does NOT rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the TRUTH. Love bears ALL things, believe ALL things, hope ALL things, endures all things. Love NEVER end". WOAH ....that was deep, who can love like that, can we really though? How do we show all these traits that builds into love... but He also says "With God ,ALL things are possible" (Matthew 19:26)" and He also says "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength, (Philippians 4:13) so you got some hope, don't forget that. So now we have God's definition, lets see what google says , oh boy...' an intense feeling of deep affection, a great interest and pleasure in something. So God's kind of love cannot come humanly natural, but the world's definition depends upon just feelings and pleasures If Gods love is not humanely natural, how do we love?. Thanks for asking... It is SUPERNATURAL, yep ...and the Holy Spirit brings the spiritual and supernatural things of God. This is why it is called A Fruit of the Spirit because the Holy Spirit brings love, check out Galatians 5:22-23. So in that case if the Holy Spirit brings the love seed so we can bear love, simple math addition is we must have the Holy Spirit living in us to love.....Okay we are getting somewhere, but no further until next week.
