It's amazing the love that God has for us. Have you ever considered how much He care? Just thinking about life itself, where you are now and where you could have been. The things He has done that no human would care enough to do that for you. I have thought about it quite a few times. The trouble I got myself into and the decisions I made, but if it was not for the love, grace and mercy of a faithful God, I would not not have been here. There is a scripture that David penned, maybe he was thinking the same thing when he wrote Psalm 8:4-5, it reads, "when I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place. What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him. You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor". We can't begin to phantom that love the God of this universe has for us. Genesis 1:26 says He made us in His image and likeness. You know how powerful that is, to have the Creator make mini me's of Himself. John 3:16 is a scripture that proves the love God has for humanity , but it takes us individually to think back on our life, the many times He rescued us, He gave us things we did not even asked for, things we did not deserve, when we were living in sin and did not acknowledged Him, but you see traces of His fingerprints in our life. Those times when everyone turned their backs on you and He sends the right scripture or quote your way, it either made you laugh or cried. There are times when God would move heaven and earth to protect us, but we take it for granted because He never announced it with a trumpet. All He wants us to do is recognized the love He has for us personally and to identify His fingerprints in what He is doing for us. And when we have recognized those fingerprints, we would accept His love and be grateful for each morning we rise, I once heard a preacher said "when it seems as though God is silent in our situation He wants us to go back to those things He already gave us , the scripture, the sermons, that song, that quote. This is why it is very important that we remember God's goodness. Whether we are saved or not, Christian or not, His love keeps us. Many think of God as a Creator who did His job by creating us and left us to fend for ourselves. But not so, in 1 John 3:1, His love is so great towards us that He calls us children of God. People, He is a Father and a Father that knows and takes up His responsibility. When you are about to make the biggest mistake in your life, He reaches out and He rescues you. When you are lonely, He is with you because He promised I will never leave you nor forsake you. When you don't even know what to do with yourself, He tells you He has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11). when you thinks no one loves and cares for you, He sent His only Son to die in your place although you did not come to Him yet. Who can count the number of hairs on your head, who knows your thoughts before you even think them, who is willing to fight for you when you can't, only God and only God will. Take some time to remember the traces of Gods fingerprints in our situation over the years we have been living. You are a child of God and He loves you very much.
