Welcome To The Message Behind The Tee

What is fear to a believer? It's an unpleasant feeling or emotion that the enemy uses to cripple or stop us from trusting what God is doing in our lives. Fear feeds on our beliefs, in hoping to get us to be useless in the Kingdom of God. There is a verse that tells us the kind of spirit God gives us and it is not the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. God identifies fear as a spirit. That spirit is from the enemy. If God did not give it, we should not accept it. The Spirit that lives in us as believers brings power, love and a sound mind. Christ has given us power to trample on scorpions and serpents, to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing will harm you, Luke 10:19. So if we have been given the power, why do we fear? Christ also gave us the spirit of love. 1 John 4:18 say in love there is no fear, indeed perfect love cast out fear. When we have the love of God in our hearts, fear cannot overtake us, but the love will push fear away when it tries to rear its ugly head in our situation. God also gives a sound mind, if our mind is in Christ. We will not fear, we will begin to think like Christ because we have changed our mindset, from thinking worldly and culturally to what God says in His Word. When we fear, it is coming right from the enemy on a platter from hell's kitchen. When we fear, it prevents us from moving forward and it prevents us from doing what God has called us to do. When we fear we are telling God, I do not trust what you are saying because I am hearing everything else louder around me. Fear comes as a thought in the form of deception from satan. He tells us God is taking too long, that God is not going to come through and his most famous line, God has forsaken us. But God tells us 365 times in His Word, Not to fear because He is with us. And if God is for us who can be against us. Elisha's servant in 2 Kings 6:15-23,  became fearful because he only saw with his physically eyes, that they were surrounded by the enemy. Elisha's servant thought they were out numbered because he saw an army surrounding the city with horses and chariots. Elisha saw how afraid he was and asked God to open his spiritual eyes so he can see beyond the physical. When the Lord opened the servant's eyes, he saw that the hill was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. You see, Elisha knew and trusted the God he was serving. Elisha knew who was for him, was more than those against him. Sometimes in our circumstances we need to ask God to open our spiritual eyes to see what He is doing. Fear lets us live a defeated life when we already have won the victory. God says we are more than conquerors, so why are we living like those who have no hope. God gives a fear not for each day to comfort and encourage us. Trusting God will extinguish the fear, the enemy tries to shoot at us. When we lose the job or the career, when there is no money in the bank or when our families or friends abandon us, Satan uses these circumstances for us to worry. But remember God is sovereign, if these unfortunate events happens, it simply mean God is going to use them to change us and purify us as pure gold. Joseph said it the best, 'What was meant for evil, God meant it for good'. Begin to trust God and take Him at His Word. He said in Proverbs 3:5-6, "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path". To trust means to lie down on, to put your entire weight on something or someone. God wants you to give Him all you got. He said cast all your cares on Him and He will sustain you and He will never let you fall. When you are about to sit on a chair, do you test the chair first before you sit? No you sit, trusting the chair will hold you up. Give God all your fears, your worries, your anxieties and your troubles, He knows what to do with it. Don't allow the enemy to serve you fear, put up your shield of faith and quench those fiery darts of fear. Pick up your ammunition of the Word and fire back at the enemy, tell him your God will never leave you or forsake you. Tell him the Lord is your Shepherd and you will lack nothing. Tell him the Lord will provide all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Then hit him with the last blow, that you know all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. My dear friends, know this, God has your back.  Our Savior and King we thank you that we serve a great big God and we are amazed by you. We thank you that we don't have to fear the arrows that flies by day and the moon that strikes by night because we are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, we are hidden in you.
