Have you ever felt like it is too hard to trust God or believe in those promises He gave you? Do you ever felt like you have been disappointed by God because what He promised is taking too long. We all have been there, but keep trusting and keep believing. Its those who endure till the end will be rewarded. Sometimes waiting on God can feel overwhelming, where you are at the point of giving up. Do not give up, keep holding on to God's Words. Many times we have been promised the abundance and the prosperity, but in reality we are nowhere near that. Seems as though we are living from hand to mouth, or just having enough. But yet God's promised the overflow. What we have to understand is that God brings us through a season of just enough to teach us some things. One, God wants us to experience Him as the Good Shepherd that we should not lack anything, Psalm 23:1. A shepherd knows how to take care of his sheep, He provides for them and protects them in the provision. God knows what we need before we ask Him, Matthew 6:8. We have to learn a very important principle in our journey with God. That He alone is our Source for everything. And everything else such as our jobs, career and business are resources. When a resource gets dried up or expires, the Source who is God, will choose another resource to meet our needs. Two, God wants us to be content in every situation and season we are in. Even the ones where we just have enough. In contentment we appreciate and have gratitude for what we have now, but still trusting God for the abundance. In contentment we will not be greedy for other things we do not have . In contentment we will not compromise to get more. God teaches us to satisfy today and wait for Him for tomorrow. 1 Timothy 6:6 says godliness with contentment is great gain. Many have fallen away from Christ because they were not content. Remember God's Words said "Give us this day, our daily bread", Matthew 6:11. God does not provide on a monthly or yearly time frame, but He promised to meet your needs daily. So if you wake up this morning with a roof over your head and meals to eat for today, there is much to thank God for. Just remember the overflow will come. Three, if God is guiding you and you are following His directions He has no choice but to provide. If we look at the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 17, where God told Elijah it was not going to rain for three years, and there was no rain. God provided for Elijah with a brook to drink from and ravens brought him food daily. Elijah was on an assignment for God, he was doing what God told him to do. But in the midst of the drought God provided for Elijah naturally and supernaturally. Elijah was not worried because He knew who employed Him was going to take care of his needs. In Exodus, God provided for the children of Israel because God was leading them in the wilderness. They had food and their clothes were not worn out. Are you on assignment for God? Did God allow you to be in this place? If so, what are you worried about? God brought you here so you can experience His divine powers in your life. God sees and knows everything you are going through. He knows when the bills are due, He knows the day you go grocery shopping, He knows. All He is asking us to do is trust Him. Trust Him because that is what people do in a relationship.Psalm 62:8 says "Trust in Him at all times O people, pour out your hearts to Him". Do not give up on God because He hasn't given up you. His ways of providing may change, but His provision never stops. Dear God as we build our relationship with you, help us to trust you and watch you work and do amazing things in our lives. We may not be where you have promised us to be as yet, but we understand that you are teaching us to wait on you. May we learn that you are our only Source and everything else is a resource, that you are in charge of providing. Let us learn to be content with where we are, but still hope for the overflow for tomorrow. Let us trust you that where you are leading in our lives, you will provide and protect us. Comfort us when we feel overwhelmed and pressured by life and circumstances. Strengthen us to go through today so we can face tomorrow. Let your will be done in our lives. We thank you for the now, hoping for a better and brighter tomorrow, in Jesus Mighty Name. Thanks for watching this channel. Please share with someone so they too may be encouraged.
